Battle for Chinatown

Chinatown Throwdown

Our team recovered nicely after the previous war and was able to recruit a number of really solid players and the team synergy was going well.  Our external forum was receiving a lot of traffic and participation so things were looking good.  Now that syndicates were in full swing, it seemed that GREE was ready to start rolling out some really cool features to the game.

Here were the events as listed:

  • The Hit Lists

  • Liu Ming

  • Enter Dragon

  • Chinatown Case

  • Battle for Chinatown

Chinatown saw the re-introduction of the Syndicate vs. Syndicate PVP challenges and rewards!  However, instead of a single prize to the Top 50 syndicates (which had no leaderboard), this event was much more mature and ready for implementation again.  It makes sense that the new tiered syndicate and individual awards this would be why it took so long to roll out another PVP event.

Most importantly was the introduction of the Limited Time Building, or LTB as it has been come to be known as.  The Chinese Pagoda showed up with little information about the building itself, the type, and the build rewards.  Naturally, it was left to the forum community to determine what all the details about the Pagoda were.  Payouts, upgrade costs, times, and prizes were documented and presented to the forum community on this thread:  Pagoda-Pandamonium

I have compiled the information presented in that thread into the table below.  The pagoda photo is courtesy of Wiki for Crime City.

Individual prizes were awarded for each completion of the building, from building to the final upgrade.  To date, this has been the best payout LTB building in the game.  The Pagoda is actually one of the best buildings in the game thus far, so if you missed out on this one, too bad!
